The Wanderer by Peter Van Den Ende - 9/10

A picturesque book which explores a fantastical, black and white, and largely aquatic world as we follow the journey of a small paper boat.

The story is fairly simple - the boat invites much curiosity and runs into several obstacles to its progress, but always manages to bring us to a new adventure. The intricacy of the drawings and the creativity of the world-building draw the viewer in, keeping us turning the pages and returning to this book again and again.
