They may read more like book jacket descriptions than full reviews, but my intention is to share a bit about each book and what I found special about it so that you can evaluate whether it sounds like a good fit for you while doing my best not to give too much away. My guess is that this resource, if it is used, will likely be handled by parents and/or teachers, and so some of my notes (at the end, marked with asterisks) give a bit of a warning to about the kind of example these books provide for young readers - and these sometimes give a bit more away about the story arc. Each review has been the tagged with some key ideas or concepts as well.

Posts are ordered chronologically based on when I read them, though many of the dates for old favorites are purely fictitious (because it requires that I enter something). I hope you find this resource helpful - you are more than welcome to reach out via the contact page with any questions or recommendations of your own.
Books have been an incredibly important to me all throughout my life. I firmly believe that what we read shapes how we think and so recommendations are valuable - but it's hard to come up with a list off the top of my head, and many recommendations come with conditions or disclaimers since art, as an imitation of the world, is complex.
This website chronicles my book recommendations (it is not my intention to post about books I have read but do not feel are worth sharing) categorized by approximate age levels or genres. I fully support reading at your age or below (almost all of these books were either read or at least re-read by me as an adult), but I would caution you against reading above your age. If I have reference to the age of the main characters, that often figures into where I categorize books, but I also try to be mindful of the concepts introduced and therefore the level of maturity or background knowledge that ought to accompany it. I am not an expert at these sorts of evaluations, but I grew up with the conviction that this task is important, so I have done my best here.
