This book is unique in more ways than one. It teaches readers about the purpose and operation of lighthouses, but it does so by means of a pet story - which is also a ghost story (in an ethereal and perhaps a tiny bit eerie but not scary way). The illustration style is perfectly suited to the nature of the tale - plus there are several incorporations of Celtic influence which was fun.
