Eyes that Weave the World's Wonders by Joanna Ho - 10/10

A poetic reflection on the experience of being adopted and looking different from those around us.

This book invites us to see through the eyes of a young Asian girl who has been adopted by a Caucasian family as she considers the love and magic she sees in the eyes of her adopted family and wonders about her biological mother, who she knows must have eyes like her. This book addresses a common circumstance that may be difficult for some children to process or share eloquently in a beautiful and hope-filled way.
